Our standard lawn plans consist of 7 annual applications. Depending on the unique situation at your property, some may require 8 annual applications.
Rounds 1-3
This application is essential to establishing extended control and prevention of crabgrass from germinating once soil temperatures have reached optimal conditions for emergence from the soil.
The appropriate rates of Nitrogen and Potassium, along with micronutrients and amino acids are applied once the lawn has come out of dormancy for optimal performance, color, and growth habits during the spring flush and prepare the lawn for impending summer stress.
Consistently warm temperatures invite invasive weeds such as spurge, wild violet, plantain, and many others into our lawn. While some of these weeds may be difficult to control, we use a 4 way control method combined with an adjuvant designed for the best possible control of the most common weeds relevant to our geographic region.
Rounds 4-5
Late spring and early summer is the best time to begin preventative measures against common pests - grubs, army worms, fleas, and ticks are controlled early in the season to prevent damage from happening later in the season. During times of high stress, spoon feeding the lawn with nutrients is our preference, encouraging excessive growth by over fertilizing during the summer is a recipe for disease pressure and turf injury if applied incorrectly.
Without a doubt, the summer months are rough and often times damaging to our lawns in the St. Louis area. When turfgrass is at it's weakest, invasive weeds use this opportunity to establish itself. Our proprietary use of bio stimulants, amino acids, and post emergent weed control help reduce the abiotic stress on the turf while also controlling the undesirable weeds.
Rounds 6-8
Fall is the optimal time to feed our lawns with essential nutrients for not only summer recovery, but also for root development, turf color and appearance. This is the time to feed the lawn with our custom blend of inputs to achieve our annual goals for macro and micronutrients.
Fall is the optimal time for aeration and over seeding your cool season lawn. Aeration treatments are quoted separately and completed by appointment only. We only use the highest quality grass seed blend of A-List Turf Type Tall Fescue verities for optimal vigor and establishment.
With cooler temperatures and some help from consistent precipitation the fall season produces the finest turf of the year. This is also the time to put the lawn to bed with a full belly. During this time we are applying our own blend of quick release macro nutrients and fully chelated micronutrients to achieve a beautiful and healthy lawn.
